The Australian International School (AIS) is a leading international school in South East Asia.  Our students make up a global demographic representing more than 35 countries.  AIS has three campus locations within vibrant and tropical Ho Chi Minh City.  The School provides an international curriculum for children aged 2 to 18 in first class facilities resourced to the highest level.  AIS currently has over 90 overseas teachers working across its three campuses.

HEAD OF ENROLMENT (VIETNAM)

The Australian International School (AIS) requires a Head of Enrolment (Vietnam) for an immediate start.

The School has over 1100 students across three campuses and is growing rapidly. This is an amazing opportunity for a dynamic and energetic person who is passionate about international education.

The successful candidate must meet the following criteria:

  • Bilingual in Vietnamese and English
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team in an international environment
  • Ability to use data to improve outcomes and drive strategy

ENROLMENT OFFICER (SOUTH EAST ASIA)

The Australian International School (AIS) requires an Enrolment Officer (South East Asia) for an immediate start.

VIETNAMESE SCIENCE TECHNICIAN

The Faculty of Science at Australian International School (AIS) is looking to appoint Science Technician, a skilled technician to join our team, starting on 15 May 2017. Duties will include providing support to staff and students and enabling the school to make the maximum use of its facilities.

MAIN PURPOSE

To support the science faculty staff by:

  • providing practical support for the science faculty teachers in their lessons.
  • maintaining and developing resources and practical equipment in the Science Faculty.
  • ordering supplies and recording all purchases within allocated budget
  • tracking expenditure against budget for the science faculty
  • supporting senior students (Y12, Y13) as required by Science teachers.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor Degree in Chemistry / Physics 
  • Experience of working in laboratory
  • High level of English both spoken and written.
  • Considerable scientific subject knowledge – understand the concepts for all Sciences/or enough to read new concepts and understand, to be able to correctly meet the requirements of an experiment.
  • Considerable scientific experimental knowledge – the ability to understand and help plan experiments in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
  • Proficient IT user: able to use spreadsheets and formula, email and Lab order monitoring software.

ART, DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT TEACHER

The Faculty of Art, Design & Technology at Australian International School is looking to appoint a skilled technician to join our team, starting on 1 August 2017. We have excellent facilities and responsibilities will be shared between both departments. Duties will include providing support to staff and students and enabling the school to make the maximum use of its facilities. The successful candidate must be prepared to learn first aid. As the role grows it is expected that the appointment of a technician will help in the delivery of ICT as required across the subject areas.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
  • Confidence/experience in working with a range of resistant materials including woods, metals and plastics.
  • Good numerical skills
  • Basic computer literacy, ideally with CAD experience
  • Understanding of technical drawings
  • High level of initiative
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and also independently
  • Understand and implement, as appropriate, the School’s emergency, and Health and Safety Procedures

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous technician experience
  • First Aid training
  • Ability to use a camera
