A key feature of the PYP is the Programme of Inquiry which consists of 6 Transdisciplinary Themes that are considered essential in the context of a programme of international education.
The 6 Transdisciplinary Themes are:
- Who we are
- Where we are in place and time
- How we express ourselves
- How the world works
- How we organize ourselves
- Sharing the planet
All children from ages 3 – Year 5 engage in the Programme of Inquiry. It challenges children to think conceptually and to investigate relevant and interesting ideas. The themes listed above are transdisciplinary in nature and are our method of delivering Social Studies, Science and Technology, and aspects of our Personal, Social and Physical Education key learning areas.
