DATE OF BIRTH ENTRY LEVEL
Students are enrolled into year levels at AIS Saigon based on their age. The grid below indicates AIS Saigon cut-off dates for enrolment based on date of birth.
A child’s social and physical maturity, with advanced academic ability and educational experience will be taken into consideration if a parent wishes their child to enter a year level outside the cut-off date. The academic staff will provide an assessment, and the Principal will make the final decision. Students coming from the southern hemisphere schools, particularly in the upper primary years, will be evaluated on their past school reports, their academic and learning experiences, their social and physical development and parental discussion. It is commonly advisable to allow children time to adjust to their new environment, establish friendship groups and focus on the adventure of moving to Vietnam, rather than feeling pressured to advance 6 months in their academic performance.
