The Australian International School Saigon - AIS

Enrolment Conditions

The Australian International School Saigon is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Schools Programme (MYP) Candidate School.  Students in Early Childhood and Primary School are taught the PYP, and students in Years 6 to Year 10 are taught the MYP, both with the best elements of well-established Australian curricula.  Senior students study the University of Cambridge A Levels (CIE A Levels) and Year 12 students have the option to study the UNSW Year 12 Curriculum which provides direct entry to the University of New South Wales in Sydney for successful students.

Progression through the School from one year level to the next is usually automatic.  The progress of each child is assessed on a continuous basis and a placement for the following year will depend on whether the School is able to continue to meet the particular needs of the child.  In exceptional circumstances the School may be unable to do this in which case it reserves the right not to offer a place in the next year level.

School camps, excursions, field trips, sports events and other compulsory curriculum activities are an integral part of the curriculum.  These and other events organised by the School contribute to a student’s overall assessment.  All students are expected to attend and participate fully in such activities.
