The School Day

The teaching and learning that occurs each day varies in accordance with curriculum and programming requirements, and to provide for a rich and stimulating learning environment for all students.

Students are expected to attend school during the academic terms, however we recognize that family commitments may from time to time result in absence. We ask parents when booking trips to be cognizant that end of term events, which often celebrate units of learning and involve student performances, will generally occur on the last day of term. Similarly, the commencement of term is a time of union and sharing of holiday experiences as well as critical work on new units. A child returning late to a term may miss out on the opportunity to join the excitement of reunion.

As is the norm of all international schools children enrol throughout the academic year, and do not conform to term dates. The crucial element is the transition for a child to his or her school as soon as is practicable upon arriving in HCMC. New students and their families will have a comprehensive orientation and transition programme to the school, to the year group, and to the curriculum.
