AIS would like to send a huge “thank-you” to families, teachers, staff and our generous sponsors for attending and supporting the community charity event Jingle Bells Jingle Bells 2015. Together, we raised just over 20,000,000 VND for the Christina Noble Children’s Charity, to help children less fortunate in deprived parts of Vietnam. This Christmas will certainly be very special to these children, and once again, we thank you for making this possible.
On Wednesday 18 November 2015, the Australian International School had the pleasure of hosting a Ministerial visit from the Honourable Steven Joyce, Minister of Tertiary Education in New Zealand, and joined by four top universities in New Zealand: Massey University, Victoria Wellington University, University of Waikato and Auckland University of Technology (AUT). The special guests took a tour of the Thu Thiem Campus, visited a Middle School Geography lesson, met a group of Year 4 students and addressed the Senior School students in the Auditorium. Congratulations to SEO Hyun Jin (Grace) who recently won the Korean Women’s Human Rights Agency and Ministry of Gender Equality & Family (MOGEF) Excellence Award in Art. She was the only winner in Vietnam. Grace is currently a student in Year 10. She has special talents in Visual Arts and has won various local competitions.
