Kerin has been teaching in the junior school in New Zealand for 7 years. During this time she was head of Junior Literacy, Librarian and Reading Recovery teacher. Kerin is passionate about children’s literacy; insuring all children are successful, and making their time at school a positive and happy experience. Kerin enjoys doing yoga, crafts and walking her dog who came over from New Zealand with her.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Teaching (Primary), University of Western Sydney, Australia Claire arrives at AIS with 11 years of teaching experience in New South Wales and China. She is passionate about developing the whole child and she is especially keen to see each child grow as a socially aware and responsible citizen. Claire loves working with younger children and she is very keen to work with our youngest students on the Xi Campus. Claire is moving to Vietnam with her husband (who is also teaching at AIS) and three young children who all love travelling.
Pamela Joyce Sampan is an early years educator with a degree in Child Development and Education from Miriam College in the Philippines. As a teacher and a full-time mom, she is a firm believer in gentle parenting, and child-led learning through play. Last January-June 2018, she had been leading the AIS Bright Sparks Playgroup, preparing fun activities for young learners with ages ranging from 6months to 2 years old.
She has been living in HCMC for one year now, with her two children Elias and Serafina, who also go to AIS, and her husband John, who is a swimming teacher and coach in the same school.

Matthew moved to Asia in 2012 and has spent the past 6 years teaching in Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. In his 4 years in Vietnam, Matthew has taught for international schools, set up a youth theatre which raises money for charity through its' performances, and he was hired to deliver a theatre-in-education tour around local Vietnamese schools.
He is delighted to be joining the AIS community and looks forward to working with the students this year.

Appointed as assistant coach for Saigon Heat Professional Team played in Asian Basketball League. After 3 years working at Saigon Heat, Cuong moved to AIS and has been working here since 2014 as Kindergarten PE Teacher.
He also in charge of AIS Basketball in year levels as a head coach. He'd love to grow basketball program for school to help students gain confidence and have good understanding about the game and their health.
