The special guests took a tour of the Thu Thiem Campus, visited a Middle School Geography lesson, met a group of Year 4 students and addressed the Senior School students in the Auditorium. AIS students got to know Minister Steven Joyce a little bit more, after he delivered a speech about the importance of a well-rounded, international education, shaping leaders of the future who can work and communicate effectively across different cultures.
The students also enjoyed four ‘elevator pitch’ presentations from the universities, whetting their appetite for tertiary education in New Zealand.
AIS students have access to an excellent education here and we hope that they will consider a university destination in New Zealand, where we promote creativity, innovation and ‘thinking new!’”, commented Minister Steven Joyce.
