Australian International School Awarded Prestigious NEASC Accreditation

NEASC accreditation positions AIS among a global network of schools that meet rigorous international benchmarks for educational quality. It reflects the school’s commitment to continuous improvement and excellence across every area of its operations.

New Graduation Pathways for Year 13

With this accreditation, AIS now offers an expanded suite of graduation qualifications. Year 13 students may choose to graduate with the:

  • International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma,
  • NEASC-accredited High School Diploma, or
  • Both qualifications concurrently.

This development provides AIS students with greater flexibility and strengthens their access to tertiary education worldwide.

The NEASC-accredited High School Diploma is widely recognised by universities in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan, and many other countries around the world. This significantly enhances AIS students’ global mobility and increases their opportunities for acceptance into leading universities.

AIS Executive Principal, Jon Standen, welcomed the accreditation, stating:
“NEASC accreditation is a powerful affirmation of the quality of education at AIS. It recognises the dedication of our teachers, the hard work of our students, and the strong support of our families. This milestone reinforces our mission to provide an exceptional, internationally benchmarked education.”

He added:

“The expanded graduation pathways now available to our students will open even more doors for them - academically, geographically, and professionally. We are proud to offer options that meet the needs of diverse learners and align with global university expectations.”

A Milestone for the AIS Community

AIS acknowledges the contributions of its staff, students, and families in achieving this important milestone. The school remains committed to delivering world-class learning experiences and preparing students for future success in an increasingly globalised world.
