Winter School Programme

The AIS Winter School creates a nurturing and empowering learning environment. Our dedicated homeroom teachers are highly experienced native English speakers. They bring a wealth of expertise to this dynamic program, with a strong focus on cultivating essential language skills, including Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. These skills are expressed throughout weekly topics and will be showcased in a performance at the end of the program.

Beyond language proficiency, students will be immersed in activities that extend to art, ICT, library, and physical education sessions designed to reinforce language acquisition.

But it's not all work and no play. Our Winter School promises fun and enjoyable activities. Students can look forward to two exciting off-campus excursions, a movie day at in our school auditorium, festive Christmas cookie decorating, refreshing water play days, and much more!

Must register for the full program.
Register and pay by 15 November 2024 to receive a 10% Early-bird discount.
10% siblings discount for second and subsequent child/children; or
10% student discount for current AIS or EIS students; or
10% returners discount for students who attended Winter Programme 2023.
School uniform is not required for the Winter English School Program.

Kindergarten Programme

Kindergarten (ages 3-4)

This program features themed activities encompassing literacy, art & craft, physical education, music, and swimming. These activities are carefully designed to foster the development of both cognitive and social skills. Key focal points of the program include daily English sessions to enhance listening, speaking, reading, and letter/word knowledge. Additionally, there is a strong emphasis on fine motor skill development, coordination skill enhancement, and the cultivation of social and communication skills. Engaging arts and crafts projects further enrich the learning experience. Children learn and discover through play based exploration activities.

To ensure students are well-rested and alert, there is a designated period for naptime after lunch each day.

Primary Programme

Year 1 – Year 6 (ages 5-10)

This program actively engages students in the development of their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Students are not only encouraged but also empowered to express their ideas independently and within collaborative learning groups. They will have ample opportunities to develop their oral language proficiency, expand their vocabulary, and in turn, enhance their confidence in presentation skills. In addition to language-focused activities, the program offers enriching experiences in art, sports, and music, ensuring a well-rounded and stimulating educational journey for each student.

Secondary Programme

Year 7 – Year 11 (ages 11-15)

This program is designed to foster the development of essential language skills, incorporating written, oral, reading, and listening skills. Students will engage with a diverse range of text types, including academic language, enabling them to express their ideas effectively through writing. Students will also have the chance to develop their research skills, enabling them to investigate problems and communicate their findings through oral presentations. Collaborative learning groups will offer students the opportunity to refine their social skills, encouraging effective teamwork and communication. In addition to these language and social development activities, students will also enjoy a well-rounded experience that includes art, ICT, sports, and music.

Program Cost

Program Fee: 15,000,000 VND

Boarding: 16,600,000 VND for the full program

Bus service:

We will offer complimentary bus service in District 1, District 7 and designated parts of Thu Duc City (AIS Sports Centre, HAGL Building, Fideco Tower, Estella, Estella Heights, Imperia, The Vista, Vista Verde, Feliz En Vista, Cantavil, Masteri, Tropic Garden, Xi Riverview, Gateway, Thao Dien Pearl, Riverside, Villa Riviera, Sun Avenue, Sala Sarimi, Sandora, Sun Avenue, Diamond Island).
Other districts: 2,500,000 VND for a full program and will be confirmed by Bus team.
Please note the bus service is for students aged 5 and above who sign up for the full duration of a Program.

Lunch and Snack:

1,250,000 VND for the full program
Includes morning & afternoon snack for Kindergarten & Primary / morning snack for Secondary.

Certificate of completion

Upon program completion, students will receive an AIS English Winter School certificate.
