Gabriel Price -  IBDP Coordinator

Gabriel teaches several of our Humanities courses; Global Perspectives, IGCSE Geography and IBDP Geography. He is also one of our Year 11-13 tutor group teachers. For the last four years he worked on projects bringing the face of AIS to the community via events like the BBGV Fun Run and the Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research. Also over the years Gabriel has organized the Year 13 Graduation Dinner and the Secondary School Graduation and Awards Ceremony. He has over twelve years’ experience living and working in Vietnam, with more than eight years here at AIS.


Leanne Raeside -  IBPYP Coordinator

Masters in IB Education through Melbourne University, Melbourne, Victoria

Leanne has just completed a Masters in IB Education through Melbourne University, Melbourne, Victoria. This is her fifth year working at AIS Saigon. Previously Leanne was a Year 4 teacher and Literacy Coordinator at Thu Thiem campus and is now in her 2nd year as the PYP Coordinator. Leanne enjoys the academic and personal challenges that the PYP Programme provide the learning community and she is deeply passionate about the environment, especially in reducing plastic waste and creating opportunities for authentic, sustainable actions to make our world a better place for our future. As the child’s learning begins in the home, Leanne is interested in holding workshops for parents to help our parent community understand the PYP programme in more detail, in order to make connections between home and school. Prior to working at AIS Saigon, she spent twelve years working in international schools in Jakarta, Indonesia, where she taught various Primary classes as well as being in leadership positions. Leanne continues to enjoy living and working in Vietnam and she is excited for future challenges and experiences.


Gary Seabrook -  EAL Coordinator

Garry joined the AIS community in 2020 and took over as EAL Coordinator in 2021. Before coming to AIS, Garry taught EAL and Language Acquisition at UNIS in Hanoi and also at the International School of Tianjin. Prior to becoming an international school teacher, Garry taught ESL in Vietnam for more than a decade. His wife is Vietnamese and they have a son who is a student at AIS. Garry and his family very much enjoy living in HCMC and being part of the AIS community.

Matthew Washer

Matthew Washer -  Director of Sport

Graduate diploma of teaching and learning - health and physical education (University of Canterbury)

He started his career as a health, physical education and outdoor education teacher at a secondary school in Christchurch, New Zealand. More recently, he worked at an international school in Osaka, Japan as an elementary P.E specialist and activities coordinator.

He likes to practice what he preaches and enjoys staying healthy through regular swimming for exercise. he has played many sports over the years but particularly love racquet sports - tennis and badminton. His biggest passion though is snowboarding and he is unashamedly a powder junkie!

Linh is a passionate teacher with nearly 18 years’ experience. Linh has been a VNC teacher at ACG -AIS since 2007. During this time, she worked very closely with foreign teachers and administrators to find out the best methods in teaching language. Prior to joining AIS academic team, Linh had four years teaching in many international schools around Ho Chi Minh. As a language teacher, Linh believes how much the important role that the mother tongue plays in learning another language. Linh will be continued to focus on building a nurturing and supportive learning environment for students. At AIS, Linh has organised several highly successful events such as Moon Festival and Tet Fair in which the values have brought to students are huge. This year Linh challenges herself as the Coordinator of Vietnamese National Curriculum in Primary school.

Myriam Harley

Myriam Harley -  University & Careers Guidance Counselor

I’ve been living in Vietnam for the past 8 years with my husband and two young children. For the past two years I have been university counselor at EIS and before Vietnam worked in the charity sector for 10 years in Cambodia and Afghanistan, supporting women and young people from difficult backgrounds to get back into community with employability skills, vocational skills and work opportunities. Seeing lives transformed and young people stepping into their dream jobs was a continuous highlight!
